A DIY enthusiast has shown how she filled a Christmas stocking with expensive beauty items for only a fraction of the price.
She also offered a helpful tip to get the best bang for your buck at Dollar Tree.
Business owner Kristen (@southernescape) is a "lover of all things DIY," according to her TikTok bio.
In a video posted this month, she took viewers on a trip to her local Dollar Tree to see how she filled a Christmas stocking in a budget-friendly way and shared simple shopping hacks too.
"Watch me fill up a stocking from Dollar Tree worth almost $90," she said.
First, she picked out a decorative stocking to begin her haul and then started stuffing.
She immediately headed to the makeup aisle for some of the best deals.
"You have got to look out for this black and white packaging," she said.
She also suggested looking out for "really no packaging" because they could just be in a clear bag, a little pink pouch, or something similar.
"You've got to really look in there and if it's not at your Dollar Tree, then go to the next Dollar Tree, and eventually you're going to find the store that's got the Jackpot items," she detailed.
She added popular items to her shopping cart, like Almay eyeshadow, makeup brushes, L'Oreal concealer, makeup sponges, and more.
In the end, her stocking stuffers only came to $22.50 at checkout.
"It would have been almost $90 had I got this stuff at the store," she said happily.
Some viewers in the comments were confused about how she found the items, while others appreciated the shopping advice.
She mentioned in the video caption that Tuesdays are the best days for deals and steals at Dollar Tree.
"My Dollar Tree must be hood because I've never seen any of those products in mine," one commented.
