LOVE Island's Diamante Laiva has revealed the real reason for the explosive row with her Casa Amor rival Ruby Dale at the reunion party.

The Love Island reunion exploded in chaos on Wednesday night when a row broke out between the two girls.

The Islanders all reunited at Radio Rooftop in London earlier this week to celebrate this year's series.

But the night didn't go without some drama after Casa Amor boy Lionel Awudu filmed Diamante and Ruby's argument on live and tried to keep the peace.

Some fans have been left confused about why they butted heads - so Diamante has cleared things up on Instagram.

Diamante wrote: "Since everyone is confused about where this started I’ll clear it up - since leaving the villa there’s been time where Ruby has tried to embarrass me in interviews, there was an instance where her friend had pointed out a (derogatory) joke and Ruby thought it would be funny to tell me…

"I brushed it off and the last night out she was trying to baby me by SCREAMING in my face and telling me what to do… all these little.

"I told her privately, just said we don’t have to fake a friendship for the cameras and i saw her @ this reunion and we didn’t speak the whole night- which is fine.

"I was live with Lionel and when Ruby drinks a lot she behaves like this. Usually she can hold a conversation but idk why she came over to ask me why i blocked her.

"Everyone who witnessed it agreed that she’s just drunk & saw opportunity. It’s just ntd (not that deep).

"I’m TIRED of being the TARGET!!!"

The Sun have contacted Ruby for comment.

On Wednesday, Ruby said to fans on live: "Basically, we went to an event, we went out after the event, Diamante went home after this event, and just blocked me.

"No, no, I'm not drunk! Ruby is not drunk!"

Wagging her finger at Diamante who stood behind her holding her phone, Ruby went on: "She messaged me a big long message and I said, no hun, I've got no problem."

Lionel later went live with Diamante on Instagram, and the shaken star said: "I don’t drink.

"Guys, I don’t drink alcohol at all. Because it messes you up.

"I’ve literally just had an argument with her in there.

"Guys, I can’t get a break, I literally can’t get a break. Never in my life have I sent for someone, I’m always defending myself, I’ve literally come over here for a chilled night."

She added: "The girl has come over here and started shouting at me, you’re not about to shout at me.

"Like you're not my mother, you’re two years older than me so cut it out.

"Why are you upset that I blocked you, just leave it, I told you specifically what the issue was that your vibe was off.

"And then I blocked you. I’m just trying to have a good night. I don’t need all of this. I look too good for this you know!"

Diamante and Ruby entered the villa as part of the Casa Amor twist.

The girls were both interested in Matilda Draper's man Sean Stone.

After getting close with Ruby, he decided that he was more keen to get to know Diamante.

However Sean stayed loyal to Matilda and recoupled with her.

Earlier on in the night Diamante held her phone up to the camera and showed Lionel's followers the message.

It said: "I think it's been very clear from the Sean situation that you have an issue with me. Exactly why? I don't know.

"And it's not really my business but your vibe yesterday was off.

"Obv we'll have to see each other at other events but I'd respect it if we don't fake a friendship for cameras and just never speak. I just cba."

In her short reply, Ruby said: "Hi hun, I have no issue sorry you feel this way x.
