Love Island fans demand ‘trigger warning’ as they’re forced to mute show’s most ‘cringe-worthy’ scene ever

LOVE Island fans demanded tonight's show came with a 'trigger warning' after airing a scene branded the 'most cringe-worthy ever'.

The ITV2 show's latest instalment climaxed with all the remaining couples enjoying romantic Valentine's Day dates in the villa garden.

While Toby Aromolaran and Georgia Steel made it official by declaring they were "locked in", Adam Maxted read a gushing poem for Arabella Chi.

Josh Ritchie had prepared a platter of cured meats and cheese for Sophie Piper while Callum Jones had a chocolate cake for Jess Gale.

But it was a slow montage of kisses - complete with sounds- that left fans reaching for the sick bucket.

The closing moments had them gagging and taking to social media to express their dismay.

One fumed on X, formerly twitter: " Did not need this episode today u. guys could've put a trigger warning damn."

"I can’t cope with the level of cringe," agreed a second.

"I need to mute this bit," yelled a third.

A fourth commented: "They all ugly kiss yuck yuck."

A fifth demanded: "Can they not just turn the mics off when they all start kissing?"

It was a sentiment echoed by others, with one adding: "oml the kissing zoomed in was not needed i feel ill."

""We did not need the kissing montage……" summed up yet another disgruntled fan.

The end of the episode certainly had a more loved-up vibe than the beginning, however, which kicked off with major conflict.

Georgia and Anton were fuming after last nights Couple of Sorts challenge, which saw their fellow islanders predicted the public had voted them 'the most boring' and 'the most unlikely to last'.

Seething, Anton demanded his housemates gather around the firepit immediately so they could hash it out.

Georgia then addressed the group, saying: “We just wanted to have an open chat.

“Obviously we are, what we would assume to be, all close mates here but I'd like to think that everyone who has a negative or strong opinion on our relationship, instead of just saying it behind our back, they'd say it to our face.”

This resulted in Josh getting heated, claiming he was the only one being honest and the other islanders were making him "look like a d***" for not speaking up.

After storming off, Josh woke up feeling calmer and he and Anton buried the hatchet the next morning.

The girls also cooled any beef they had with a girly pampering day.

But many fans felt the scenes between the ladies were "scripted" and "fake" as they put their differences to bed.

Georgia Harrison was shown chatting to Sophie about the Anton row drama, but Sophie failed to mention she had been talking about the pair behind their back.

And later, Georgia Steel, Arabella and Molly all hugged it out, claiming they "had each other's back."

One said: "What in the scripted hell was that? Like Molly and arabella would have that conversation with Georgia willingly."

A second wrote: "The Sophie and Georgia scene could of come straight out of Towie, looked so scripted the way she walked in etc."

"These conversations that the girls are having seem scripted," said a third.

While a fourth commented: "These days out are so scripted."
