Marco Reus waved goodbye to Borussia Dortmund fans as he played his final home game for the club.
Earlier this month, Reus announced he would be leaving Dortmund at the end of the season - ending a 12-year spell with BVB.
The 34-year-old, who joined Dortmund in 2012, took to the pitch at Signal Iduna Park for the final time in his career as the Bundesliga club brought their league season to a close.
Dortmund battered bottom of the table side Darmstadt 4-0 with Reus bagging himself a farewell goal in the first half.
The star was also welcomed onto the pitch with a spectacular crowd display that resembled a shirt with the number 11 on it, alongside a banner that read: "Thank you Marco!".
But the most touching moment occurred when Reus was substituted in the 81st minute.
The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as the star's number was read out inside of the stadium.
And an emotional Reus, who scored 170 goals for the club, turned to clap their unwavering support as he headed to the touchline for the final time
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is a target for Real Madrid.
But the Spanish giants are preparing to swoop for the Argentinian World Cup winner next year.
Reports in Argentina claim there has already been contact between Real and Liverpool but no firm offer has been received at Anfield.
And it is thought the Spanish title winners and Champions League finalists see Mac Allister as the man to fill the gap when long-serving midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos leave the Bernabeu.
Thiago Silva has left a brutal parting message for his Chelsea team-mates.
The Brazilian, 39, is set to leave Stamford Bridge after tomorrow's final day clash with Bournemouth.
Silva produced a tearful video message confirming his imminent Blues exit last month.
Speaking again ahead of his final game, the decorated centre-back fired a warning to his team-mates about meeting Chelsea's standards.
He told Sky Sports: "Thiago knows what it means to wear a Chelsea shirt, you know.
"And if I have a message to send to the boys that are here today, I hope they understand that everything they did to get to Chelsea has to be worth it.
"Because the season we're having is not worthy of Chelsea. It's not.
"And I think they have to do more next year, they need to do more."
The napkin that Lionel Messi signed to promise he would join Barcelona has been sold at auction.
Messi, 36, was famously signed by the Spanish giants after club chiefs put pen to napkin on a deal to sign the then 13-year-old.
It was signed in December 2000 by former Barca sporting director Carles Rexach, transfer advisor Josep Minguella and Argentine agent Horacio Gaggioli over lunch at a tennis club.
Messi then joined the Spanish side's youth set up from Newell's Old Boys before going on to make his debut in 2004.
Auction house Bonhams said on Friday that the napkin had been sold for a staggering £762,4000.
Roberto De Zerbi will be leaving Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season by mutual agreement.
The Italian has insisted he has enjoyed his time at the club and will be taking a break before deciding on his future.
I am very sad to be leaving Brighton, but I am very proud of what my players and staff have achieved with the support of everyone at the club and our amazing fans in the past two historical seasons.
We have agreed to end my time at Brighton so that the club and I can continue to work in the way that suits each of us best, following our own ideas and visions, as well as our work and human values.
I have really enjoyed an intense and challenging two years working in the Premier League, not least competing in four major competitions this season.
Leaving now provides me with time to take a break before deciding on my future plans.
It's hard to criticise Casemiro because of what he’s achieved in the game, but people should expect better from him in a Manchester United shirt.
It really hasn’t worked out for him this season after such a good first year with the club and he isn’t getting any younger – he looks like he’s had enough and he wants a new start at another club next season.
Jason Wilcox and the other directors at Old Trafford are going to have to have harsh conversations with these players, including Casemiro, and find out whether they really want to be here or not, or whether or not they want the manager [Erik ten Hag] here, so it’s a tough one.
Casemiro’s a legend of the game and it’s a difficult one, but his name has very much been in the focal point of conversation over the past few months, so it’s certainly something the club need to address this summer. A decision needs to be made.
