Snowflake Christmas Wreath
TikTok user Kristen (@xxiamkristinxx) has shared her super-easy and super-cheap snowflake Christmas wreath. All the elements for this decoration came from Dollar Tree.
- Grab metal wreath rings
- “Give it a double coating of spray paint in white or silver
- Collect a variety of snowflakes, some with glitter some without large and small
- Before gluing snowflakes down, do a dry run
- Use quite a bit of hot glue, then glue any overlapping pieces to make more secure
- Flip it over and add more glue to the back of the snowflakes. Spread out evenly
- Once happy with the positioning of the snowflakes, start gluing down
- For the final step, flip over and put glue everywhere and as much as you can
- Allow to dry and then hang into position
“First grab yourself one of these metal rings from Dollar Tree," she explained.
“Then go ahead and spray paint in white if you’re unable to find a silver one."
She did two coats, then she started to arrange her collection of snowflakes. But first, she had a tip.
“I highly recommend you do a dry run [with the snowflakes].
"The first time I did this I just started gluing and I made it three-quarters of the way around the wreath and I ran out of snowflakes."
Using a hot glue gun, she started fixing the various-sized snowflakes into position.
“Make sure you’re using quite a bit of hot glue, then glue any overlapping pieces. To make it more secure."
The final step was important if you wanted this wreath to stay in one piece.
“Flip it over for the final time and now glue the crap out of it," she said.
"Put glue everywhere and as much as you can because you don’t want it to come apart."
The wreath complete, it was now time to put it on show.
“Hang it on your door or wall. I especially love when the sun hits it because it glistens like real snowflake," she wrote.
Commenters were in love with her cheap and easy idea.
