My Bumble match wrote me the rudest message – people say he must have ‘turbo swiped’ but his behavior is ‘shameful’

A BUMBLE blunder has one woman scratching her head after receiving a less than loving message from a man she matched with.

People said the dating disaster may be a result of "turbo swiping," an all too common practice on similar apps.

A now deleted Reddit account posted a screenshot of the online encounter to the social media platform.

"Hey Jamie, how was your weekend?" she wrote to the potential date.

"Please like people within your means," the man, Jamie, replied. "F**k off."

The Redditor expressed her confusion at the aggressive response, unsure of what provoked it.

"What is the point of doing this? Just un-match me if you're not interested," she said.

"I know some men swipe right on everyone, so I intentionally leave my matches for a bit before messaging so they have time to un-match."

She also specified that Jamie "un-matched" her immediately after messaging her, leaving her no way to respond to his ugly words.

Several Redditors chimed in on the hostile response, with some just as baffled as the woman.

"Who the f**k are ‘people within your means?’ Is he butt-hurt you’re in different tax brackets or something?" one wrote.

"Hahaha I wondered if I earned too much for him, just didn't get the opportunity to ask," she replied.

My Bumble match said he was looking for a 'mature woman' - I'm offended as I'm not old but his 'bush' comment was worse

"What a f**king loser, the disrespect is just shameful," another added.

"In contrast, I feel so bad when rejecting people. I try to be as kind and respectful about it as possible," she responded.

"It still makes me feel like a huge jerk though when they are clearly interested and I am not. Wish I could offload some empathy onto this jerk."

Others said it's a clear case of "turbo-swiping" — a slang term referring to swiping right too fast on potential love interests on dating apps.

"He turbo-swiped probably," another wrote. "Which means he’s not even as attractive as he thought, because if he was he wouldn’t have to swipe right on everyone and hope for a match."
