‘It’s too revealing for a wedding’ people say as guest shares her dress with cut-outs & plunging neckline

A WOMAN has been mocked after sharing the summer dress she was considering wearing to nuptials.

Attending someone's big day can be just as stressful as organising the wedding ceremony - there are gifts to consider, as well as picking the perfect outfit and accessories.

This is exactly why one woman took to Reddit to show off the frock she was planning on sporting at a wedding this upcoming summer.

The midi dress, she shared in the post, was a gorgeous navy and white long-sleeve dress, with a plunging neckline, as well as daring cut-outs around the waist.

The stunning frock had an intricate geometrical print with different shapes and it came with a twist detailing right below the bust area.

However, whilst she did look incredible, the trendy Redditor was not entirely convinced it was going to be a safe choice and sought advice from fellow users on the popular platform.

''Is this dress appropriate (too white/revealing) for a summer wedding?''

The post, uploaded less than 24 hours ago, was soon seen by several people, some of whom raced to comments to share their thoughts - and not everyone reckoned the frock was fit for nuptials.

Someone, for instance, thought the colour scheme was totally fine - however, the dress wasn't giving summer vibes to them.

''It’s not too white but it doesn’t really seem like a summer choice.''

Another, meanwhile, insisted the skin on show was too ''much'' on someone else's big day.

''It's pretty for dinner or something, but in my opinion, the cut-outs and the neckline is a little much for a wedding.''

I got my wedding dress from Vinted for just £50 - it was stunning and had the most beautiful back

Someone else also wasn't a fan of the design, adding: ''The cut-outs kinda push it to a no for me.''

''Not too white but I think it is pretty revealing to wear to a wedding,'' a fourth chimed in.

A fellow Redditor explained why they'd rather save the frock for a different occasion.

''I don’t think it’s too white, but it does look quite casual, especially with those cut-outs and the bra line, and at least in the picture, material looks like cotton.

''If the dress code is cocktail, this is too casual. If there’s no dress code, might be ok.''

The social media user went on to add: ''That said, similarly to what others have pointed out, I would maybe also consider the audience and venue.

''If it’s an outdoors wedding and you know the people and think this would be ok, go for it!''

However, if it's a more fancy ''upscale venue with more conservative crowd'', the Redditor would best find a more fitting alternative, they noted.
