Baby boy dies at Walsall block of flats as woman, 29, and man, 42, arrested over ‘unexplained’ death
TWO people have been arrested following the "unexplained" death of a baby boy.
The horror unfolded at a block of flats in Walsall, West Midlands, on Monday morning.
Tragically, the six-month-old was declared dead at the scene after suffering a "medical emergency".
A 42-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested in connection to the baby's death.
They have since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
West Midlands Police confirmed a post mortem will take place in due course.
A spokesperson added: "Police are investigating the unexplained death of a six-month-old baby boy who was found at a Walsall home on Monday 5 February after police were called to the address.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to the home at around 11.40am following reports of a medical emergency.
