IT'S another thrilling day at the World Snooker Championship and three household names are expected to book their spot in the quarter-finals by the end of play TONIGHT!

Snooker hero Ronnie O'Sullivan is one frame away from securing a place in the final eight as he holds a 12-4 lead over Chinese star Jang Panxu.

Former champion Luca Brecel has one hand in the quarters as he also leads 12-4 against Ding Junhui.

And Judd Trump is ahead of Shaun Murphy by just four frames but banked a £100k bonus after securing his 100th century of the season on Sunday night should spur him on to complete the job.

The evening session could be quick as both Ronnie O’Sullivan and Luca Brecel need only a frame each to progress into the quarters.

The afternoon is looking very tasty, though, with Ben Woollaston still well in his match with Pang Junxu.

Judd Trump was sensational in the final three frames of his last session against Shaun Murphy – tallying breaks of 106, 132 and 92 to take a four-frame lead.

He needs three to progress.
