At one point the regulars began to discuss their opinions on a very European bathroom feature: the bidet.

The porcelain bowls are often situated next to a toilet and are designed so a user can sit on it to wash their nether regions.

After hearing from Coleen Nolan and Kéllé Bryan, the soap star went on to offer her own thoughts on the household item.

Natalie told the panel: "I like a bidet, it reminds me of my family bathroom when I was little. Mum and dad’s bathroom, there was always a little bidet there."

She went on to share an aspect of her personal grooming routine, adding: "I haven’t got a bidet now but I do sometimes – on a warm day when I haven’t got time for a shower – fill up the sink and have a flannel wash."

But audience members and some of the Loose Women alike gasped in shock as they misheard the word flannel.

Audience members jumped on social media in an attempt to clear up the confusion, with one asking: "Did she say fanny wash?"

Another chimed in: "‘I legit thought Natalie Cassidy said a 'fanny wash'."

On air, a baffled Coleen also tried to make sure she'd understood Natalie correctly, asking: "What? You sit in the sink?"

The actress denied this, leaving other panelists even more confused.

"If you’ve said the word I think you’ve said I think you’ve just said…" Charlene trailed off.

Kéllé was eventually able to shed some light on the situation, exclaiming through fits of laughter: "She said flannel wash!"
