We’re a family-of-five that live in a camper van… we have a special way to hide the beds to give us space in the day

WHEN it comes to living in a van with your family what may concern many is the lack of space.

However, this savvy family-of-five, who lovingly liked to call themselves the ''RV'' brood, has come up with a rather genius solution.

The family - dad Jimi, mum Sandi, their daughters Nikie and Skye, as well as the son Ryder - have been living full-time in their RV van since 2022, as they're travelling the world.

The travelling enthusiasts regularly share their adventures on TikTok, where the family's page has amassed over a whopping 915k followers.

Recently, mum Sandi, who sports a funky bright pink mohawk, also revealed how they instantly give their RV van more space once everyone is done sleeping.

The trick, she explained in the clip, is rather simple - it's by getting the beds out of the way with a special system they've installed.

Rather than buying foldable beds they could store away, the family decided to find a van that had double-queen bunk beds which are put up during the day.

This gives the brood extra space when the morning arrives - and when it's time to go to bed, these are dropped down for the girls to sleep on.

For this, they will first remove any items sitting on the dressers - as this is where the beds will land on.

According to Sandi, the views from the bed, as it's facing the window, are absolutely amazing and the daughters ''love'' the unique set-up.

Meanwhile, son Ryder has his very own loft at the top of the van, which has been completely decked out in gaming-related stuff.

To make the limited space more neat and tidy, the travelling super fans also had professional organisers come around and share a few solutions to help the family.

One of them was making a dedicated arts and crafts area in the living space, as well as a special beauty area in the bathroom, which had make-up and skincare attached to the walls.

''They have everything they need in addition to this huge table that expands - and they can hang out with their friends.

''If you are a family and want to do this full-time, toy haulers are an amazing option,'' she couldn't stop raving about the van's design.

Hundreds flocked to comments to share their thoughts - and whilst many appeared to be obsessed with the family's adventures, life on the road's not for everyone.

One reckoned: ''I wouldn’t survive with that as the bathroom.''

Another chimed in, joking: ''Gotta love privacy.''

Someone else chuckled about the pink aesthetic, writing: ''This looks like a Barbie fold out trailer.''

Luckily, the reaction has mainly been positive, as some even raced to hits back at the meanies.

One supporter wondered: ''Why are people hating, just let the family live.''
