Huge blow for Anton Ferdinand ahead of Dancing On Ice semi-final as he admits ‘I never expected to be here’
ANTON Ferdinand is once again the favourite to leave Dancing On Ice this evening.
The former West Ham defender, 39, will be skating in tonight’s semi-final despite repeatedly being tipped to go.
For the fourth week in a row, he is is odds-on with the bookies to be eliminated from the competition, at 4/6, with Dan Edgar also at risk at 11/4 ahead of Sam Aston (5/1) and Michaela Strachan (16/1).
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "He's arguably been one of the standout names in recent weeks, but it's familiar territory for Anton Ferdinand, who once again heads into tonight's show as the odds-on favourite to be sent packing."
Even Anton is surprised by his success, but in a video today he admitted he wanted to get to the final.
He told his followers: “It’s the semi-final. I can’t believe I am in it, I really can’t.

“If you had said to me at the start of it that I would have got to the semi-finals I would have said no chance, but I am here and I here because of you guys.
“Thanks for voting for me, keep voting for me.”
He continued: “Let’s get Annette to the final. I really want to get to the final for Annette. She deserves to be there – she is a fantastic coach, a fantastic person.”
Throughout the competition, Anton has faced criticism for still being in the competition after former fan favourites were sent home.
Despite fears he's been struggling behind the scenes, Anton's rep insisted: "He is focused on the Dancing on Ice journey, he’s loved every minute.
"The comments aren’t fazing him, he’s faced much worse over the years during playing in the Premier League."
