An hour after a social media post suggested a bomb had been found, the Nassau County Police Department confirmed it was untrue.

"Reports that an explosive device was found at the Nassau Coliseum are FALSE," a post on X read.

Police sources told Fox News it was believed to be a training exercise, but this has yet to be confirmed by cops.

The panic arose from a post on X shared by an independent journalist.

The unverified report sparked fear among supporters who have worried for the candidate's safety since he was shot in the head on July 13.

The U.S. Sun contacted the Nassau County Police Department, and a spokesperson said they were called to the area around the coliseum.

However, they did not provide details on what had taken place.

The scare came after throngs of Trump supporters gathered as early as Tuesday to celebrate the former president's incoming rally.

Security was on high alert after Trump dodged a second assassination attempt in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, the FBI confirmed.

Ryan Routh, the man arrested at the scene, was armed with a scoped AK-47 and positioned on the golf course where Trump was playing when he was arrested, according to cops.

And this came months after Trump was shot in the head by a deranged would-be assassin at an outdoor rally on July 13.

The bullet grazed the former president's ear, and shooter Matthew Crooks was quickly shot and killed by security, according to officials.
