I’m A Celeb fans slam ‘pointless’ new arrivals in camp after surprise twist, demanding ‘make them wait’

I'M A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! fans have slammed a new surprise twist in this year's series as "pointless".

In Friday night's episode, the remaining five campmates received surprise visits from their family and friends.

Josie Gibson, Marvin Humes, Sam Thompson, Nigel Farage and Tony Bellew were overcome with emotion as their favourite people appeared one by one in the jungle.

But fans were left scratching their heads by the shake-up and have called out show bosses for 'not making the campmates wait'.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one disgruntled viewer posted: "Huh?!? WTF?!? I'm not happy with 'em bringing their family/loved ones in to see 'em all!

"There's only a few nights left, let 'em bloody wait/suffer a tad longer!"

Another added: "It’s only been 3 weeks and they go home on Sunday ffs!"

And a third asked: "Why do they need to see their family when they leaving in a few days??"

Someone else also chimed in: "Don't get me wrong, I am happy for them but I thought part of the hardship of the show was being away from family?"

Each of the five remaining campmates were met in the jungle, one at a time, by the people due to meet them on the bridge when they leave.

JLS star Marvin was surprised by his wife Rochelle, who flew to Australia just days ago.

She told him: “I weirdly feel like I’m on a blind date, I feel like I’m a fan because I’ve been watching you on telly every night."

Hugging her, Marvin replied: “I’m so grateful for everything in my life. This makes you so, so, so grateful. I know it sounds cheesy but it is life-changing, it really is.”

Former UKIP leader Nigel, meanwhile, was able to enjoy a brief reunion with his daughter Isabelle.

Isabelle revealed that his parents - her grandparents - have watched every night and 'love seeing his bare bottom' on the telly.

Sam was delighted to catch up with his best mate, Towie star Pete Wick and jumped straight into his arms, while Tony's wife Rachael was waiting to see him.

She told the tearful boxer their children were "dead proud", adding: "Just dead quick, before I forget, where’s the plug for the leccy toothbrush?”

Josie - who was first up - was unable to see her five-year-old son Reggie, even though he has flown to Australia, however she did get to chat with her best friend Mia about him.

Mia reassured her: "He’s seen koalas, he’d fed kangaroos. He’s collecting seashells.”
