CELEBRITY Big Brother is making a triumphant return to TV, with the star housemates able to command HUGE fees.
With this in mind, some fans may be curious about whether the civilian BB contestants get paid as well.
The Big Brother housemates do indeed get paid for appearing on the show.
The exact amount that ITV pay their contestants, has been kept a secret.

But we do know that Channel 5 paid their housemates £50 a day.
Big Brother 15 star Mark Byron said the showrunners help housemates by offering a small cash sum to tie over bills in the outside world while they are in the house.

Speaking to Liverpool Echo he said: "They give you a little bit to help you, they do give you a subsidy.
"I think, when I was on, it was only something like £50. It's not a lot but they do help you.
"It was like £50 for every day you're in there which isn't a lot but if you're in there for 13 weeks it soon adds up."
In the US, housemates are reportedly getting paid $1k each week, which amounts to £819 - so there is a big difference.
Meanwhile, the prize money for winning Big Brother is a whopping £100K.
Who won the last series of Big Brother?
After a tense final, Jordan won ITV's first ever Big Brother and walked away with a whopping £100,000 after fending off competition from Henry, Noky, Olivia and Yinrun.
And the first words out of his mouth after his name was called out by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best summed him up perfectly.
"I can now pay my council tax," Jordan quipped, ever so dryly.
Olivia finished the series in second place, Henry in third, Yinrun fourth, and Noky in fifth.
When does Celebrity Big Brother start?
The wait is almost over for ITV's first ever Celebrity Big Brother.
The broadcaster has revealed the hotly-anticipated star-studded series will start on March 4, 2024, at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
After this the show will air daily at 9pm on ITV2.
The reality series will be followed each night by Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live - giving viewers additional exclusive content.
The Live Stream is also making a comeback, airing seven nights a week on ITVX.
This will give fans the opportunity to watch live footage into the small hours after Late & Live.
Celebrity Big Brother sees a line-up of stars leave their life of luxury behind.

Like the original BB, they will take part in nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.
