Knifeman shot dead by police after killing one person and injuring another in Bordeaux - reports

A man armed with a knife has been shot dead by police after fatally stabbing one person and wounding at least one other in the French city of Bordeaux, local media reported.

Police do not initially think the attack was terrorism-related, BFM TV reported, citing police sources.

The attack happened around 7.50pm at the reflecting pool near the banks of the Garonne river.
