I’m a money saving pro – mums can get everything from Lego to Barbie free over Easter, you just need to check the day
IT can be expensive to keep kids entertained in the school holidays.
But one money saving pro has revealed there's a host of freebies parents can take advantage of over Easter - and they'll keep even the most energetic kids busy.
Netmums has teamed up with Jordon Cox, aka Britain’s Coupon Kid, for a new series of money-saving tips for savvy parents.
In the first episode of Netmums Money Saving Hacks with Britain’s Coupon Kid on TikTok, Jordon shared his best Easter suggestions, kicking off with Lego.
"If your child likes Lego, go into a Lego store on the 23rd or 24th of March and you can make and take away for free your own Lego Chick," he said.
"You can't actually buy this in store so it's an exclusive this Easter!"
Continuing on the toy front, if you go to a Smyths Toys superstore on 30th March from 9am, you can pick up a free Easter egg toy for your kids.
"Either Hot Wheels or Barbie, and there's no minimum spend," Jordon said.
Next, Jordon revealed some of the chocolate freebies you can get.
"If you've got the Asda rewards app downloaded there should be a mission on there that gets you a £1 bonus for the first three shops that you have in March," he said.
"And there's no minimum spend- so you could go and get yourself an Easter eggs, some Easter goodies or some chocolate.
"Scan your QR code and get £1 cashback!"
Holding up a white Buttons egg, Jordon said: "This one is £1.25 so this works out at 25p".
And finally, if you're a Vodafone customer, for both broadband and mobile, have a look on the Very Me rewards app - you might have an £8 voucher to spend in Morrisons, with no minimum spend, so you can get yourself some free choccy!"
"Chocolate, bunnies... it’s beginning to look a LOT like Easter. And thanks to the money saving guru @Jordon Cox - BritainsCouponKid , it’s also a time for freebies!" Netmums captioned the video.
And thankful parents quickly commented on the video, with one writing: "The lego one is so cool!"
"My birthday is on Easter," another added.
"My daughter would love the Lego store promo!" a third mum commented.
