That is SOME HEADER from Dan Burn.

A corner whipped to almost the edge of the box by Kieran Trippier looks set to cause no issues for the Reds' defence.

That is until physical specimen Dan Burn rises like a salmon out of the River Tyne to direct a powerful header into the bottom left corner of the goal.

It had been a cagey and relatively quiet opening first 45 minutes up until that Dan dagger, and it was incredible to see the passion personified from the Englishman, who might have the best week of his life if Newcastle go on to win this.

Many people raised their eyebrows and chuckled when they saw him selected for Thomas Tuchel's England team, but he has perhaps shut just about everyone up with that belter.

Liverpool will be well and truly feeling the Burn as they head into half-time, as it remains to be seen if they can come out red-hot and get back into the game.
