BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst left cringing after mortifying live blunder amid string of presenter shake-ups

BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst was left cringing after a mortifying live blunder - amid a string of presenter shake-ups.

Nina, 43, recently returned to work from maternity leave and has been hosting the programme as a main anchor or covering the latest business news depending on the day.

On Wednesday, she was in the BBC Breakfast studio to update viewers on the dramatic rise in inflation in the UK.

After Nina talked through how it is impacting Brits, she handed back to the main hosts, Sally Nugent and Ben Thompson.

But she was left cringing at herself as she said: "Now back to Jon and – Ben and Sally. Not Jon, sorry.”

Ben - who has been standing in for Jon Kay this week - chuckled and replied: "Don’t worry, I’ll let you off. Thanks Nina.”

Jon, 54, usually presents the programme alongside Sally, 52, every Monday to Wednesday.

But this week, he has been nowhere to be seen, meaning Ben,42, has stepped in to cover.

It is the latest in a run of hosting shake ups for the show, after Naga Munchetty was missing for almost three weeks from her usual Thursday to Saturday slots.

Wednesday's show also saw BBC Breakfast fans voice their concern for an "exhausted" reporter.

Hannah Miller was live on the programme from Westminster as she brought viewers up to speed with the latest scandal engulfing the Labour Party.

Donning a floral top, Hannah was straight into it as she delivered all the facts with her usual no-nonsense attitude.

BBC Breakfast fans concerned for 'unwell and exhausted' star - gushing 'hope everything is okay'

But writing on X - formerly Twitter - one fan said: "#BBCBreakfast Hannah doesn’t look well."

Another quickly followed up in agreement to say: "She [does look unwell], we thought that last week, I honestly hope everything is OK, she looks exhausted."
