My mom has a ‘wild’ makeup application hack and it shows on all her lipsticks – it does save time but I’m not convinced
A MAKEUP lover has revealed a very unusual way that she applies lipstick - to the surprise of her daughter.
The duo applied some lipsticks together to show off the mom's application hack.
But even after a demonstration, the young influencer wasn't convinced by her mother's technique.
Influencer Brianna Renee (@briannaxrenee) shares videos about her life, beauty, fashion, and trends with her 748,000 followers.
In a recent clip that she filmed with her mom, Brianna featured the older woman's makeup application hack.
The video opened as Brianna held her mom's lipstick up to the camera.
The lipstick tips had been worn into some quite unusual and intricate shapes, which Brianna was puzzled by.
"Look what my mom does to her lipsticks!" she said.
"Explain yourself - the people want to know why they look like this,"
Her mother was happy to demonstrate her application technique.
Instead of coating the top and bottom halves of her lips separately in color, she simply placed the lipstick tip between them and rubbed her lips together.
This resulted in each separate side of the lipstick tube wearing away, leaving a thin slice in the middle.
Brianna's mom applied the lipstick very quickly, needing only a brief swipe to apply it.
"I guess that is more efficient!" Brianna said, surprised.
Another lipstick had been formed into a point with a tiny ball on top, which Brianna said made it "look like a hat."
Her mom demonstrated how her lips had caused it to form that shape - she placed the ball section inside her mouth and used the point to coat her lips.
"Ew Mom, the lipstick ball is in your mouth," said Brianna.
The unusual lipstick hack was not passed down the generations.
Brianna showed off her lipstick to the camera and it had a flat top, which she said she felt made for an easier application.
"I think that's wrong," said her mom jokingly.
Viewers were both confused and touched by the special application process.
"That's wild, I've never seen someone apply lipstick like that," said one commenter.
