English holiday park with the UK’s first on-site Wetherspoons could serve beer from 8am

EARLIER this year, Haven confirmed that it would be partnering with Wetherspoons to open a pub at one of its sites in North Yorkshire.

The much-loved UK pub chain will be opening a new venue at the Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Filey.

Inside will have "all the hallmarks of a beloved Wetherspoons" with 250 seats and menu options including salads and pub classics.

During the summer, guests will also be able to make the most of the pub garden, which will overlook the grounds of the holiday park.

The Haven Wetherspoons will open at the holiday park's pre-existing pub, which is currently called the Mash and Barrel.

Punters heading to the watering hole may be able to start drinking alcohol from as early as 8am.

As reported by BBC News, the Haven Holiday Park has applied to North Yorkshire Council to extend its licensing hours.

If approved, the pub will be able to serve alcoholic drinks from 8am, which would be two hours earlier than its current license.

The on-site Wetherspoons is slated to open in March 2024 - although an official date has yet to be confirmed.

Wetherspoons is the 7th food and drink brand to partner with Haven, which also includes Burger King and Papa Johns.

Brits who haven't planned a trip to Haven Primrose Valley Holiday Park will be relieved to know there are plenty of other Wetherspoons that are deserving of some attention.
