EASTENDERS star Toby Alexander Smith has landed a role in a Jane Austen drama - and looks a far cry from his former serial killer role.
Toby played evil abuser Gray Atkins in the BBC soap for three years before quitting Walford in 2022.
The bearded villain was shipped off to jail after confessing to killing barmaid Tina and his wife Chantelle.
Toby has since worked as a jazz singer and has been available to book for private events, according to his website.
But the 33-year-old hasn't turned his back on acting and has now announced his new movie project.
Toby shared photos of him in character on the set of new film An American In Austen, which will premier on the Hallmark channel on Februay 17.

Toby and Amy have been together for four years after meeting in the audience of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2019.
They welcomed daughter Bonnie in December 2021 and got engaged in August 2022.
They tied the knot in Montenegro.
"It was honestly the most perfect day," Amy told OK! magazine. "It surpassed all my expectations and more."
