‘It sounds just like him’ says Masked Singer fans as they think Dippy Egg is famous footballer

THE Masked Singer fans have insisted Dippy Egg is a very famous footballer.

They shared their theory that the breakfast egg is the England icon on Instagram, after hearing them singing Shotgun by George Ezra on Saturday night.

They didn't have much to go on, but one viewer claimed: "It sounds like Peter Crouch."

And a few others followed suit, as a second said: "That's Crouchy on the mic."

One more echoed: "Crouchy, I listen to his podcast, it's him."

However, others commented on the initial post and insisted that Dippy Egg wasn't "tall enough".

Other eagle-eyed fans think they know Dippy Egg is a huge TV star.

On Saturday, Shirley Ballas was unmasked as Rat on The Masked Singer.

The panel failed to guess the rodent was the Strictly Come Dancing head judge.

A tattoo gun featured in the pre-recorded video clues given to the show's judges and viewers before her performance on Saturday.

After she was unmasked, guest judge olly Murs asked her if she has tattoos.

She said: "All over my backside. all over, and all over. , and all over.

Her inkings include the name of boyfriend Danny Taylor.

Later Shirley to ... " ITV: "I have tattoos on my bottom. A butterfly which represents freedom on one side.

"When my brother was alive, he was a fisherman, and he used to see all these beautiful frogs when he was out and about. So when he passed away I put a beautiful frog on my backside.

"I put my boyfriend's name on my bottom as well. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But we're still together, so ... "

And she told ITV she might add to her tattoo collection.

She said: "I think for Rat I might get an R on my ankle or wrist, I love Rat. I'm in love."
