I’m an interior designer and my small tweaks here and there can make your home feel brand new – don’t go overboard
ONE interior designer has shared her small tips which can make a big difference when transforming your space.
Just some minor adjustments can give your home the ultimate spring refresh.
"With just a few small tweaks here and there, you can make your home feel like brand new again this spring!" interior designer Sara Mosele of Sara Mosele Interiors said on her website.
Her first tip for lightening up your home includes bringing the outdoors inside.
She explained how incorporating the "springtime" essence of nature into your space can add a "feeling of freshness and life."
All you have to do is add a few potted plants or flowers.
You can even hang an outdoorsy-themed piece of art on the wall.
She also recommended painting one wall in various blue tones.
Mosele's biggest piece of advice when it comes to brightening things up involves "changing your color palette."
"Consider lightening up the shades used for walls, furniture pieces, textiles, and other accents in order to create a lighter atmosphere," she said.
Time to put a little pep in your decorating step.
Adding some refreshes also doesn't have to break the bank.
And remember - a little works goes a long way.
"You don’t have to go overboard with this - just a few changes here and there can make all the difference," she said.
Lastly, she is a fan of adding texture to your space through fabrics including linen and velvet.
"These materials add depth and interest to any room while still being light enough for springtime vibes," she said.
She also suggested weaving various textures into your bedding and curtains for "added contrast and visual appeal."
