‘Why are they so miserable?!’ fume A Place in the Sun viewers as they rip into ‘spoilt’ house hunters

CHANNEL 4 viewers were not impressed with the “miserable” house hunters on today’s episode of A Place in the Sun.

During today’s episode, host Craig Rowe did his best to find primary school head Kirsty from Northern Ireland, her dream holiday home in Lanzarote

Kirsty and Wendy were hard to impress

Kirsty brought along her friend Wendy to help her with the search, but on a budget of £120,000, it proved to be “a bit of a challenge” for Craig.

Viewers were not impressed about Kirsty and Wendy’s attitude to the property search, either, and they took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their complaints.

Viewers called out the 'miserable' house hunters

“Why are all these buyers so miserable? If I had enough money to buy somewhere abroad, I’d be beaming with joy,” one viewer pointed out.

As Kirsty criticised property for being “too small” inside and out, viewers were appalled by her attitude calling her “spoilt” for wanting too much on her small budget.

“Never seen a more underwhelmed couple as those on A Place In the Sun right now,” added another viewer.

Viewers felt that Kirsty’s demeanour didn’t improve after seeing the first property, either.

“She’s a miserable moo, isn’t she? A holiday home on a volcano should cheer her up,” joked a third viewer.

However, house hunting in the Canary Islands didn’t seem to lift her spirits. “She’s one of the most unenthusiastic woman on here,” another viewer observed. “Don’t think I can take any more of her monosyllabic banter.”

While a fourth viewer said: “Her friend looks bored s**tless.”

A fifth viewer agreed, pointing out that Craig and Kirsty have not connected at all. “You know those episodes where it’s clear that the participants and the estate agents have had a great laugh and become friendly …. This isn’t one of them,” they wrote.

Craig was trying hard to impress Kirsty, though.

A sixth joked: “Craig’s mission is no longer to get her an apartment but to get a smile out of her.”

But it didn’t seem to be going well. “Poor Craig, he’s not getting much out of her, is he?” another viewer observed.

As Craig continued to show Kirsty holiday homes in her budget, she barely cracked a smile.

“I’m glad he’s telling us she’s impressed because from looking at her we haven’t a bloody Scooby,” slammed another viewer.

Other viewers showed compassion for Kirsty and suggest that perhaps she was just nervous being recorded.

Kirsty did finally crack a smile after she accepted a counter offer on her dream property and she admitted how much this meant to her.

However, this is the second day in a row viewers have voiced this complaint.

A Place in the Sun viewers voiced the same complaint yesterday

Yesterday, host Lee Juggurnauth jetted off to Torrevieja on Spain’s Costa Blanca to help ex-engineer Ash and retired banker Anila find their dream holiday home.

With a budget of £135,000, they want a three-bedroom property with a swimming pool that the children and grandchildren could all enjoy, but the house hunt didn’t go well.

Picking up on their poor attitudes, one viewer said: “Poor Lee. He always gets the bad ones.”

Meanwhile, another viewer called them out for being time wasters.
