BBC bosses ‘confirm’ the future of The Traitors ahead of series three
THE TRAITORS is set to continue its reign on the BBC, as insiders reveal that the hit reality competition is all but confirmed for a third series - and possibly more.
Peacock has already announced that show bosses recommissioned The Traitors US for a fourth and fifth series.
Following that news, it’s widely anticipated that the BBC will follow suit, handing the UK version a similar double recommission.
Both the UK and US versions of The Traitors are produced by Studio Lambert and share the same atmospheric filming location in Scotland.
Given this close partnership, industry insiders believe it’s only a matter of time before the BBC officially announces that The Traitors UK will be back not just for a third, but potentially a fourth series as well.
The BBC declined to comment when approached by the Sun.

The smash-hit reality show has been hosted by Claudia Winkleman for the past two seasons.
It pits 22 strangers against each other in a high-stakes game of deception, backstabbing, and trust - all for the chance to walk away with a life-changing £120,000.
Traitor Harry Clark was the winner of the most recent season after he managed to trick all his fellow cast members into thinking he was a Faithful.
When he was one of the last two people left standing at the end of the show, he bagged the grand prize.
Speaking last month about his pile of cash on Good Morning Britain, Harry said: "No, I literally haven't spent it, I'm being quite smart with that actually. I'm surprised myself I haven't spent it all."
He added: "I do have plans actually, I want to give back to the military so my plan is to open and start my own businesses.
"Be a manager of these businesses and they hire from the army to give people that sense of army home upon leaving because I feel like a lot of people can get lost.
“I'm looking into doing construction, lorry companies, things like that to hire straight from the military. Military qualifications cross over into civilian qualifications, a lot of people don't realise that, I didn't even realise that mine crossed over!"
He previously told how he had to wait four months before he was paid his prize money and admitted his dad had been advising him.
The Traitors is available for catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
