‘Who knew?’ people say as proud gypsy shares 4p way to keep fake flowers dust-free & why washing them isn’t the answer
THEY'RE a homeware favourite for many.
But fake flowers are also known to attract dust, and can be a mission to keep clean.
And while many people swear by blowing off the dust, one gypsy has insisted that just ends up with the dirt being blown around the home.
Instead, Tracey has a 4p hack to keep her fake florals dust-free, and it costs her just 4p.
"My flowers are getting slightly dusty, so let me show you how to get rid of the dust," Tracey began her TikTok video.
Shen then took a black sack and filled it with table salt, before taking the flower by the stem and putting it into the bag head first.

Tracey then began vigorously shaking the bag.
Once she'd finished, she proudly took the flower out of the bag, and held it up to the camera to show how it was completely dust-free.
"I've seen people washing them and all sorts but it just loses the colour," she warned.
"There you go, look how lovely they are," Tracey said as she showed off the finished results of her 11.30pm cleaning session.
"Don't wash them, don't put them in machines, don't put them in bleach, don't put them in anything," she concluded.
"All you need is salt and it gets every bit of dust out.
"Tried and tested - I've been doing this for years."
"This is the best tip you will ever need, my friends," she wrote over the top of the video.
And people were quick to praise Tracey for sharing the top tip, with one writing: "I’m trying this tomorrow!"
"Right am doing this," another added.
"All my flowers are cream as well so this would be very handy thanks tracey," a third commented.
"Great idea I’m gonna try that thanks," someone else wrote.
"Wow thank you. I washed mine with soapy water they went floppy," another said.
"Yeh my nanny used to do that," someone else said.
"Thanks for sharing, going to try it," another wrote.
