Gran, 84, who says 39-year-old toyboy ex conned her changes Facebook relationship status & shows off ‘genuine companion’

AN 84-YEAR-OLD grandma who claimed her 39-year-old ex-husband conned her out of thousands has changed her Facebook relationship status, and showed off a "genuine companion".

Iris Jones met 39 year old Mohamed Ibrahim via Facebook, back in 2019.

She wed the Egyptian native in 2020 and in 2021 shocked This Morning viewers as she shared intimate details of their sex life.

Iris admitted to paying off her husband's debts and lending him large sums of money, but at first, didn't see this as a problem.

However, their relationship soon soured and in June 2023, Iris's husband moved out of her seaside bungalow.

After their split, following a turbulent three years together, Iris slammed her man as being "evil" and a "sewer rat".

She has now taken it upon herself to begin exposing online scammers who take advantage of women like her.

A now single Iris has changed her Facebook profile picture to her one true love - her cat, Mr Bo Jangles.

The gran has also changed her Facebook relationship status to "single' and can often be found posting daily updates on her life with her furry friend.

The pair are often chilling in the park together, or soaking up some sun in the garden.

Iris recently shared a sweet snap of herself and the cat, writing in the comments section: "It's soo nice to have genuine friends to support me in what has been a traumatic time in my life."

"Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, (which is slowly starting to heal)."

Iris, who is from Western-Super-Mare, has decided to take a break from online dating, following her ordeal with Mohamed.

She is now focusing on her "fraudster hunting" and recently said that one scammer threatened to send a bomb to her house, if she didn't send them cash.

Iris believes she is now a "competent scam hunter", and is determined to help other women out.

In a recent Facebook post, she said: "A warning to all vulnerable women online, chatting to scammers and con-artists, thinking they are messaging genuine males on legitimate dating sites.
