More human remains found at two locations in headless human torso probe as cops quiz two men ‘known to victim’

MORE human remains have been found at two locations after a headless human torso was found wrapped in plastic.

Four police cordons were put in place this weekend after the discovery was made in Kersal Wetlands, Salford, earlier this month.

The victim was brutally dismembered and dumped at the nature reserve.

His body was tragically uncovered in the Kersal Dale wooded area on April 4 - with forensics combing the area.

A police cordon has been put in place at Blackleach Country Park in Walkden.

Three other police scenes are in place in relation to the investigation today as the probe ramps up.

These are Worsley Road, Winton, Linneyshaw Colliery Wood also in Salford and Mitchell Street in Bury.

Now it has emerged more human remains have been found in Salford's Blackleach Reservoir and Linneyshaw Colliery Wood.

Two men were arrested earlier this week following the discovery of the lower back, buttocks, and a thigh of a man wrapped in cellophane, near a footpath.

They are believed to have lived with the victim at a property being searched by police.

The victim was white and believed to be aged 40-plus.

Police are still questioning the men who were arrested on April 25.

Police taped off Blackleach Country Park on Saturday afternoon.

Local residents claim divers were seen entering the water.

It follows a 12-day search of Kersal Dale and nearby Kersal Wetlands with 100 GMP officers deployed.
