Chesney Hawkes reveals heartbreaking reason he signed for CBB and says sorry for cancelling tour dates to do show
CHESNEY Hawkes has apologised to fans for cancelling tour dates to do Celebrity Big Brother - and revealed the heartbreaking reason he signed up.
The One and Only hitmaker entered the spy house during Monday night's star-studded live launch.
But as Chesney settles into his new surroundings, the singer has apologised for cancelling tour dates to do the ITV show.
In a video posted to his official social media accounts, he said: "Hey guys, so if you're watching this I am now in the Big Brother house.
"Been mad trying to fend off all the rumours whilst promoting an album now."
Chesney revealed that he made a pact with a close friend who tragically died a few weeks ago.

He continued: "I can only hope I do you all proud, it has been crazy timing, it just happened just three days after the release of Living Arrows.
"Sorry I had to reschedule some tour dates, but I will be back bigger and better for you I promise.
"I made a pact with a very good friend of mine a few weeks ago that I was gonna take life by the horns and say yes to every crazy opportunity that came my way.
"And this, rather timely, is the first instance of that.
"I guess sometimes the universe just works its magic."
Meanwhile, Chesney cheekily revealed on launch night that he's a "bit of a nudist" and has no issue getting his kit off.
And he doubled down when he was introduced to Will Best and AJ Odudu in front of the live audience, looking slightly concerned when they told him he would be shown in the buff if he strips off.
Wearing incredibly tight trousers, Will then cheekily said: "You are the wang and only!"
