Princess Anne rushed to hospital with head injury after ‘impact with horse’s head or legs’
PRINCESS Anne has been rushed to hospital with a head injury after an "impact with a horse's head or legs".
The Princess Royal suffered "minor injuries and concussion" following the incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.
It is understood Anne was walking around the estate with horses in the vicinity.
The exact cause of her injuries is unconfirmed but it is understood they are consistent with a possible blow from a horse's head or legs.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene and gave Anne medical care before taking her to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
She remains in the hospital for observation, Buckingham Palace has said.

Anne's engagements this week have been cancelled and it is understood she will not be able to fly to Canada for a planned tour.
A spokesperson said: "The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.
"Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.
"The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery."
