Mum left with ‘new fear unlocked’ after discovering the reason why her washing machine smelt so ‘horrendous’
A MUM has been left with a "new fear unlocked" after discovering the reason why her washing machine stunk.
Amanda couldn't figure out why her utility room smelt so bad, so decided to investigate.
But when she moved the machine to see what was "in the pipe", she was stunned by what she saw.
"Okay it wasn't even the freaking washing machine," she said in a video on her TikTok page, through tears.
She then enlisted the help of her husband, who couldn't resist poking fun at his other half.
"Stop! My husband's trying to scare me," Amanda exclaimed.

Johan then moved the machine himself, and picked up what was underneath with a long-handled device, before flinging it outside.
"Johan, oh my God. Is it real? Is it alive?" she exclaimed.
"Holy dooley. So that has been underneath...?"
Amanda then turned the camera onto the stinking item, which turned out to be a dead snake.
"So that it what has actually been stinking in here," she said.
"And I don't know how long it's lived under our washing machine for!"
Amanda added in the video caption: "If your laundry room still smells maybe check UNDER your washing machine.
"I think it died when the heat pumps were running in our laundry for 5 days."
Following the scary incident, Amanda admitted she made her husband "check under every appliance in the house".
"New fear definitely unlocked!" she concluded.
And people in the comments section were equally terrified by Amanda's tale.
"I would move and change my identity if I saw dead snake under my washing machine," one wrote.
"Contemplating it!" Amanda replied.
"I would be taking a look under the washing machine to make sure there isn't a mumma under there too," another added.
To which Amanda responded: "I know, I know. I made hubby go and look for the mumma bear.
"We have checked under every appliance.
"Literally freaking out still!"
"I found a snake IN my washing machine," someone else admitted.
"Went through a wash and it was still alive!!!! I utterly screamed.
"I had taken some bedding from the garage into the laundry room and washed them and I think it was in the blankets and I carried it in.
"I never fully recovered.
"Any time I got to the bottom of the washer, my nerves would start.
