I worked at McDonald’s – four annoying things customers do including the mistake they make when ordering a cheeseburger

AN EX-MCDONALD’s worker has revealed the four annoying things that customers would do on a daily basis whilst working for the fast food giant.

She explained that not only would customers often make the same mistake when ordering a cheeseburger, but they would also be highly annoying when it came to the ice cream machine.

Posting on social media, the brunette beauty shared her clip about what it was really like to work for the fast food chain, with the caption ‘This s**t would literally happen everyday.’

The ex-employee then acted out common scenarios with customers, as she said: “Hi, welcome to McDonald's, what can I get for you?”

The woman revealed that customers would then often ask for an ice cream cone, but she would have to reply and say: “The ice cream machine actually isn't working right now, so is there anything else I can get you?”

To this, the former employee claimed that customers would then ask: “Oh, could I just get a sundae then?”

In response, the McDonald’s worker would then add: “So our ice cream machine isn't working and sundaes are made out of ice cream, so, no, I can't get you one.”

Not only this, but the McDonald’s worker also revealed the mistake that people would make when ordering a cheeseburger without the cheese.

She explained that customers would often ask: “Could I just not get any cheese on the cheeseburger?”

The ex-McDonald’s worker then confirmed that she would instead change the order to a hamburger, as she claimed “it's the same thing.”

But customers were never happy with this, as they would clap back and say: “But I don't want a hamburger. I just want a cheeseburger with no cheese.”

To this, the fast food worker would then reply: “Well, a cheeseburger with no cheese is basically exactly how our hamburgers are made, and our hamburgers are cheaper, so I was just gonna charge you for the hamburger.”

If that wasn’t enough, the woman explained that she would often be met with the same experience when working on the drive through.

As a car would pull up, not close enough to the speaker, the employee would ask: “Hello? Hello? Is anybody there?”

The ex-employee then explained that often, such customers would then just drive straight to the window, without placing an order.

When they would arrive at the window, they would often say: “I don't have an order because I was sitting back in the lane for over 10 minutes and nobody answered me, so I just drove up here and I wanna know if you could just take my order here.”

The ex-McDonald’s worker then explained that customers would get on her nerves when it came to which sauces they would want.

She explained that she would typically say: “Here's your order and I'm sorry, we actually don't have any ranch [dressing]. Is there any other sauce you would like?”

When asked why the chain had run out of ranch sauce, the woman would explain: “I'm sorry. We just ran out completely in the store. We've had people all day asking for ranch and it's been pretty busy. So can I get you any other sauce?”

But she claimed that angry customers weren't happy with this response, as they would reply: “And what about the other McDonald's? Do they have ranch?”

Similarly to this, the ex-McDonald’s worker also revealed that customers would drive employees mad when they kept adding things to their order.

She claimed that she would say to customers: “Okay, here's your order, is there anything else I could get for you?”, to which they would often respond: “Yeah, could I just get some ketchup?”

When asked if they wanted anything else, the customer would often say “no”, but then, when given their sauce, they would then think of something else and add: “Oh, and could I actually get sweet and sour sauce too.”

Not only this, but then seconds later, when given their sauce, they would also ask: “Oh, and actually, can I get some more barbecue, too?”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ijwmpaftb_, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 186,100 views.

Many other McDonald’s workers could relate to this woman and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Or when they don’t know how the app works.”

Another added: “When I worked at McDonald’s, the customers never had basic common sense.”
