UK ticketholder wins share of £123m EuroMillions jackpot
A lucky UK ticketholder has scooped a share of £123m after winning the EuroMillions jackpot.
The other winner splitting the prize is based in Spain.
Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery, said it was an "amazing night", adding it was the first UK EuroMillions jackpot win of 2024.
Mr Carter urged players to check their tickets and call in if they think they are one of tonight's lucky winners.
Player were also asked to check their tickets for a EuroMillions draw on 16 January where a £1m prize from a winning ticket bought Shropshire has not yet been claimed.
Mr Carter told these players to "look everywhere" including in clothes, bags, the car, wallets and purses, and "that" sideboard where miscellaneous items are usually kept.
Anyone not in possession of their ticket but who believes they have a genuine claim can still submit a claim in writing within 30 days of the draw.
Mr Carter also said: "Thanks to National Lottery players, £30 million is generated every week for good causes.
"This money helps fund projects across the nation, with over 685,000 grants, supporting projects both big and small, having been made across the UK to date."
