Celeb stylist shares his secret to ‘cover & camouflage even the thinnest of hair’ – and his fave supplements for growth
A HAIRSTYLIST to the stars has shared how he conceals thinning locks for his clients.
He also shared his must-try beauty supplements for growing your tresses.
Ken Paves, Founder of Hairdo by Ken Paves Collection, has a client list that includes Eva Longoria, Victoria Beckham, and Jennifer Lopez.
He shared his go-to products to conceal thinning and promote growth with The U.S. Sun.
DISGUISE DETAILS
Paves suggested products to make hair look fuller and thicker with minimal effort.
"There are hair powders and fibers when used moderately can help," he said.
The expert warned that overuse can clog the follicle.
You can also invest in hair pieces to conceal bald spots and sparse areas.
He recommended his new hair Toppers by Hairdo available exclusively on QVC.
"These are a great way to cover and camouflage even the thinnest of hair with a modern cut and color," she explained.
Each is based on styles he created in the salon and exclusively for his celebrity clients.
Some of the cheapest clip-in toppers start at $29.
CONTRIBUTING FACTORS
Paves said that there were several reasons why your hair might be shedding.
It could be due to genetics, diet, health, stress, surgeries, weight loss, and every day "environmental aggressors."
"Many people don’t realize that environmental aggressors and styling build-up can minimize the space that each follicle has to hold the hair," he said.

He explained that it reduces the blood flow to each strand, and therefore, reduces the bulb’s strand life and quality of hair.
REAL RECOMMENDATIONS
When it comes to budget-friendly products for growth, Paves gave a solid suggestion.
He suggested finding a "moderately-priced" scalp exfoliant.
A scalp exfoliant is a product that removes dead skin cells, oil, and dandruff from the scalp using physical or chemical means.
Many hair experts maintain that regular exfoliation is the key to healthier, shinier hair from the roots to the tips.
It also tackles oiliness, dryness, flaky scalp, and itchiness.
If you're still having problems, Paves recommended seeing a trichologist to "analyze your specific thinning."
He also suggested a hair growth vitamin to include in your skincare regimen.
The wellness brand Phyto makes his favorite supplements for hair, skin, and nails.
