I’m size 18 and have found the perfect holiday co-ord from Tesco – you don’t even need a bra with the top

NOTHING screams summer like the humble co-ord.

Perfect for styling as a set or mixing and matching the pieces with other bits, it’s easy to get good wear out of them.

And it seems Tesco shares the sentiment that co-ords are the unsung heroes of summer

The supermarket’s in-house fashion label, F&F, has recently taken to Instagram to showcase its new black and white co-ord.

Fashion content creator Kris, also known as Stylish Mum Journal, styled the set.

Wearing a size 16 in the top and size 18 in the midi skirt, she paired it with a tote bag, sunnies and a pair of black slip-on sandals.

And the top is so supportive, she didn’t need to wear a bra with it.

Kris posed in the pieces in a now-viral Instagram reel, which sparked a flurry of comments.

“I’m sorry but this is just gorgeous,” Christie Mac commented.

“Oh my god, this is a stunning set,” Chloe Holmes added.

“It looks gorgeous on you,” Rebecca Keates gushed.

“I might consider getting the top to go with the skirt now.”

One of the primary reasons co-ords have become a summer staple is their ability to offer a polished look with minimal effort.

Tesco’s new viral one has a black background with white flowers etched over.

The top features cami straps and a scallop hem which is replicated on the skirt.

The effortless style is perfect for those hot summer days when you want to look put-together without spending hours curating an outfit.

Reasons to shop supermarket fashion

When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or update your basics, there's no need to spend hours walking around clothes shops, or scrolling online. Just pick up a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg...

They’re convenient - Chances are you visit your supermarket more times than a shopping centre or high street.

It’s affordable - For basics  to more fashion-led pieces, supermarkets are leading the way for budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They’re more on-trend that you think - With a customer database larger than the average high street store, shops like ASDA, Sainsbury's and Tesco are able to cater to the markets and predict trends in a lot more areas than just food supply.

They fit well - Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often highly practical too—think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thought.

Adaptability makes co-ords an excellent investment, too.

The bold F&F pattern can be split, with the top paired with a simple skirt or jeans for a casual day out, and the bottom matched with a basic tee for a pub garden lunch.
