DO you dream of quitting your job and travelling the world in a tiny home?
One family-of-five decided to leave behind their life to renovate an old school bus into a stylish home-on-wheels.
Adam and Joanie Wegman took a leap of faith when they picked up their 220-square-foot yellow bus, especially as it needed extensive work.
Speaking on YouTube, they said: “We felt like our stuff was getting in the way of experiences.
“We just kept saying things like ‘I wish we could do this, or ‘I wish I could go there.’
“Next thing I knew, we had this bus.”
More on tiny homes
After seven months of stripping out the seats and turning it into a chic home, they were ready to hit the road.
They even added a beauty salon area so beautician Joanie could work from wherever they pulled up.
Five years later, and they are still travelling around the US with their three kids, Eden, 13, Lincoln, 11, and Solomon, nine.
On their Instagram they wrote: “5 years ago this week my children were munching on fresh asparagus in Arkansas, the first state we explored after leaving Minnesota.
“Now we moved to the mountains of Northern Idaho and are still living here.
“My children have grown so much while being on the road! We camped 93 places and hit 19 states.
“We have not lived in our own home for six years.
“Our children slept four feet from us.”
The front section of the bus is their kitchen area, and includes a stove and pull out drawers for their cooking supplies.
And opposite is a seating area with a drop-down table for when they are eating.
There is also a large fridge, sink and ample counter space.
Joanie said: “You’ve just got to be prepared for bumps in the road.”
The home-schooled kids sleep in bunk beds along the walkways with accordion blinds for privacy, while the end of the bus is a private bedroom for Adam and Joanie.
And perfect for her extensive wardrobe, Joanie has custom cupboards all the way round the walls for storage.
They have a tiny bathroom with a functioning toilet that they have to empty every day or two.
The mum is still able to work from her seven foot salon on the bus, where she does hair and make-up, and has her sink and supplies.
She said: “I’ve probably done one client a week or every couple of weeks since being on the road, not like my eight a day when I left.
“Legally I had to have a separate entrance for them to come in and both doors needed to be able to close for me to do business.”
The family insist they love their life on the road and said: “The boys are getting bigger, and we added in a dog.
“But man have we lived, we actually lived our life for the last couple years, we weren’t tied down “and we could go wherever we wanted.
