‘Natural way to treat wrinkles’ – dermatologist shares the food to eat every day which is proven to reverse ageing

A SKINCARE expert has shared the one food you should eat every day to reverse the signs of ageing.

Dermatologist Dr. Neera, who graduated from Harvard, took to social media to share her favourite skincare hack.

While many of us focus on looking after our skin topically - the skincare pro says the food you eat is just as important.

And the best part is that the anti-ageing tip has been proven to work in research.

Taking to TikTok, Dr. Neera revealed: "When I tell my patients eating three handfuls of almonds per day is a natural way to treat wrinkles."

She used the sound 'no it's not,' 'yes it is' to show just how stunned her clients were when she let them in on the skin secret.

"A 24-week clinical study showed that women who consumed about 400 calories of almonds per day (roughly three handfuls) had a significant reduction in facial wrinkles/fine lines and hyperpigmentation," she continued.

In fact, the study revealed that consuming 400 calories worth of almonds a day had a massive impact on decreasing wrinkles as well as pigmentation.

The group who didn't consume any almonds saw little difference according to the study on MDPI.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @dermatologysurgeon has since gone viral with over 75k views and 2,200 likes.

People were stunned and many claimed they were adding almonds to their next food shop.

One person wrote: "Adding almonds to grocery list."

Another commented: "I eat 40 grams every weekday…been doing this for years."

"OKAY I'M OFF TO BUY ALMONDS NOW!" penned a third.

Someone else added: "I cannot eat any nuts. Do you have a substitute?"

"Omega 3 supplements may have similar benefit," replied the skin expert.
