On the rear doors, motorists can easily find the standard door handle - but the secret button beside it may be harder to spot.

In a helpful video posted on TikTok by @Autogeful, a car whizz demonstrated how to use the cool hack.

Simply look for a small, black square to the right of the traditional handle and hold it down.

This could save you if the regular handle were to brake, or if you have limited mobility in your hand and cannot form a grip around it.

It comes as Toyota announced that the iconic Prius is making a welcomed comeback to UK showrooms - 12 months after the car giant claimed it wouldn’t be available to buy.

The fifth-generation Prius had been removed from Toyota's UK line-up due to higher demand for SUV models.

But the Japanese maker did release the Prius in other markets around the world, including throughout Europe.

Now, in a surprising U-turn, the Prius hybrid hatchback will now be offered in the UK.

As first reported in Autocar, it appears the model's return has been supported by strong sales of parallel and plug-in hybrids.

Plus, it was revealed that the Prius+ had been the UK's fastest-selling used car for the month of October, three years after the model had been discontinued.

While pricing and specifications are still unconfirmed for the UK release of the fifth-gen Prius, in Europe costs range from €45,000 to €50,000, which is roughly £39,000 to £43,000.

If this is the case, the new Prius would be much more expensive than the Corolla, which starts from £30,225 in the UK.

The hidden button on the Prius comes after plenty more car experts have shared their little-known hacks.

A mechanic has revealed a fuel trick that could save you hundreds while filling up.

Plus, another expert shared three viral car ‘hacks’ you need to AVOID as they could cost you thousands.

Meanwhile, someone else revealed their 30p hack that leaves your car feeling fresh every day - and works in seconds.
