I live in a small apartment – I found an Ikea table that gets bigger, collapses, and even has storage
LIVING in a small space doesn't need to mean being cramped if you get creative.
An apartment dweller has found a stylish solution to furnishing her home with an Ikea table that is extra functional.
"If you're trying to find a dining room table that will be more efficient for your small apartment, I got this one from Ikea that has three drawers on each side," said Marilyn Rivera (@iammarilynrivera).
The light wooden table might have simply looked like a narrow piece of decorative furniture against her window, but there was more to this space-saving piece than met the eye.
Not only can the total of six drawers be used for storage, but it also transforms into a much bigger table.
"It opens either to one side or both for entertainment if you have guests coming over," she said.
Once the piece was fully opened, Marilyn added a pair of bar stools.
She even keeps extra chairs in her closet for when she has additional guests over.
After all, she certainly has the space for it.
Once she's finished, it's completely collapsible.

The table style is described as a space-saving alternative that has been around for centuries.
