Mum stuns by revealing she spent £12k on her kids’ Christmas presents only for them to ‘get bored’ & not open them all

CHRISTMAS might be the most magical time of the year, but many parents will be feeling the pinch.

However, one mum has stunned others by admitting that she has spent £12k on her little ones – with her youngest even getting bored on the big day (eek!)

The bank busting admission came from influencer Sinead Baldev, who claims to be ‘boujee on a budget’.

Though people from Yorkshire traditionally save their pennies, the mum-of-three admitted to spending an eye-watering amount on Christmas Day.

Having asked her 494,000 TikTok followers how much they budgeted for the festive period, the mum revealed that she'd spent thousand on each of her kids.

Replying to an earlier comment, she confessed: “This is how much I normally spend, per child. So last year, I must have spent…I’d say £3k to £4.5k on Christmas presents for these kids.”

For those who’ve yet to do the maths, that is a staggering £12k just on presents - outstripping even Santa’s budget.

Whilst most of us would spend that on a new car, Sinead shared what was on her kids’ lavish wish list in a follow-up video.

Her eldest received high end beauty products, including P Louise cosmetics and Drunk Elephant skincare (with some products costing as much as £100).

This is despite the fact that her daughter is barely 13 years old and the mum admitting that ‘Nivea probably does the same thing’.

Even Margot Robbie was jealous of Sinead’s kids, as her youngest daughter got a £170 Barbie Dreamhouse – complete with accessories, car and additional dolls.

Thankfully, her son had more budget-friendly presents such as a Rubik’s cube and slinky.

Speaking about the classic toys, Sinead said: “[He] is the cheapest child to buy for. You could buy him a £2.99 stretchy worm from B&M and he’s buzzing.”

However, it wasn't enough to keep him occupied for long though.

Sinead admitted that he got ‘bored’ on the big day and couldn't be ‘a***d’ open the all presents.

Though Sinead insists she has reigned it in this year and kids aren't spoiled, her seasonal spending has still sparked debate in the comments.

Unsurprisingly, most mums had a much smaller budget for the big day.

One comment even confessed to spending under £50, as her son was still an infant and wouldn’t understand Christmas yet.

They wrote: “I’ve only spent about £20 on my son because he’s only going to be a month old for Christmas.”

Another added that she’d splashed out on her son, but only because he had additional needs that bumped up the price of his wish list.

She said: “I spend between £100-£300 on my son. It depends on what he’s interested in as he’s got autism so sensory things are HELLA expensive.”

However, not everyone was so careful at Christmas - with a third revealing that she’d even told her parents off for not spending enough in the past.

“My parents spend minimum [of] £2000,” said the pampered princess, adding: “They spent about £1k a few years back and I kicked off and they said I ‘ruined Christmas’ but they’ve learned.”

Sounds like someone needs to go on the naughty list.
