I transformed a grotty shed into a gorgeous tiny home for $16k – it’s 280sq ft and better than my wildest dreams

A BUILDER showed how she transformed a shed into a tiny home for $16,000.

The dwelling might only be 280 square feet, but it's no small feat.

TikToker Katy Krebs (@katyelizkrebs) showed how she remodeled a shack.

"Anything is possible," she wrote. "We had no remodeling experiences before this project and let me tell you it was a ride."

"I honestly would do it over and over again if I could," she continued.

Katy showed what the shed looked like in the beginning. There were random items scattered throughout.

It was just four walls, a roof and a floor.

"Would you believe me if I told you we turned this into a liveable tiny home for just $16,000," Katy wrote.

She then showed several photos of the transformed home, which now has a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen.

Katy and her partner, Michael, built the tiny home two years ago.

She loves the bedroom the most.

"Our bedroom is probably my favorite part of the tiny house," she wrote via Instagram.

"I'm sure I say that about every inch of the tiny, but the bedroom is my personal favorite," Katy added.

Now, Katy's niece is living there now.

"Being able to supply a home for our family is a gift, and even though it's a tiny house…it's still a home," the builder wrote.

"My niece lives in the tiny house now, and I couldn't be more thrilled," she added.

"The tiny house will always hold a special place in my heart," Katy finished.

It could be a future home for her children, too, she said.

People on TikTok were impressed with the conversion.

"Wow. Gorgeous," one person said.

"It’s beautiful," a second wrote.

"You make me want to renovate the shed in my in-laws yard," a third added.
