EastEnders fans appalled by Ben Mitchell’s ‘incestuous’ plan – fuming ‘the writers must have forgot!’
EASTENDERS fans were left recoiling in horror as Ben Mitchell suggested an 'incestuous plan' in order to help out his friend.
The BBC soap opera has been rocked by the return of Johnny Carter, played by the third actor to take on the role Charlie Suff, as he returned to see that his mum Linda had been crumbling in recent weeks and had turned back to hitting the booze.
Johnny was stunned to discover that his family was in turmoil and more fractured than ever before with him seemingly holding one man responsible.
Unaware of his mother's demons for brutally stabbing Keanu Taylor to death on Christmas Day, Johnny becomes concerned for her and holds Dean Wicks, her rapist and his uncle, accountable for his mum's pattern of downward spiralling.
It has seen him turn to pal, and one-time lover, Ben Mitchell in order for the pair to do something in order to get rid of Dean for good.
Amid the storyline, fans were left appalled as the writers either seemingly forgot a key family relation or chose to suggest a potential incest plot as part of Ben and Johnny's plan.

During a conversation in the cafe, Ben and Johnny deciphered that they needed to obtain the phone recording from Dean which contained Linda's false confession of lying.
Ben suggested to his pal: "Find that recording saying that she lied."
Understanding it would not be that easy, Johnny sarcastically replied: "Yeah, yeah I'll just go ask him."
Egging him on to do a bit of flirting, Ben then cheekily suggested: "Well give him a bit of the Johnny Carter charm."
Quipping back, Johnny said: "He's straight."
Before Ben added: "Well there's always a first."
Ben then seemingly suggested he was implying Johnny sleep with Dean as he discussed if he would fall for the "come to bed eyes".
However, fans were quick to point out that Dean was Johnny's biological uncle.
Both Ben and Johnny seemingly skimmed over this point as fans questioned why he responded "he's straight," instead of 'he's my uncle'.
Dean is the full brother of Johnny's dad, Mick Carter.
The brothers were born to Shirley Carter and Buster Briggs, however Mick believed Shirley was his sister until 2014.
Despite this, the family have lived with the knowledge, and acceptance, that Dean is the Carter's kids uncle for 10 years.
Reacting in shock to the sexual suggestion, one fan said on X - formerly Twitter: "Anyone else found it weird when Ben told Jonny to charm Deano and Jonny replied with 'he's straight' instead of 'that's incest' as that is his bio uncle. Writers forget who's related to who?"
Another fumed: "Why is Ben suggesting to Johnny to flirt with his UNCLE?"
