Everyone sees the rocky plain – but you have 20/20 vision and a hunter IQ if you spy the leopard in 5 seconds

YOU must have 20/20 vision and a hunter's IQ if you can spot the leopard in this image within five seconds.

This latest brainteaser is destined to leave you pulling your hair out as you race against the clock.

That's because you will need extra sharp eyesight and determination to stand even the smallest chances of succeeding.

This optical illusion will really put you to the test as you search for the elusive creature.

But if you can put your best cognitive skills together, you could become one of the minority to overcome the challenge.

However, don't get too complacent, because time is not on your side.

Try to scan as many areas of the image as you can.

If you're really struggling, zone in on the bottom left corner of the image.

The leopard is neatly perched on the top of a rock, looking towards its left.

Still not able to spot it?

Don't sweat it if not, we've included the answer below.

The incredible image was snapped by photographer Sudhir Shivaram, who locked eyes with the majestic beast when he was exploring in the small Indian town of Bera.

Mind-boggling optical illusion appears to show different colored circles but can you guess what color they ALL are-

The photographer said: "The place is really popular with leopards because of its rocky terrain.

"The leopard had come out of its den and was resting. I maintained a good distance from it so it wasn't disturbed.

"I took the photo with the leopard slightly off-center, so it's really difficult to find," he went on.

"Only a few people could spot it after a while.

"Many guessed wrong, while some even thought there wasn't anything in the pic."

He added: "The leopards are so well camouflaged in the habitat.

Optical illusion benefits

They are not only entertaining, but they also shed light on how our brains interpret visual data.

By giving your brain a little workout on a regular basis, you enhance your ability to focus and observe details.

Studies have shown that people who regularly challenge themselves with optical illusions and puzzles see big improvements in their problem-solving skills, concentration, and attention.

Improved concentration and attention span, in turn, can help prevent cognitive decline in older age.

Psychologists at The University of Glasgow found that staring at an optical illusion can improve eyesight by allowing you to see small print.

"They are the most adaptive animals and can easily service on smaller mammals, birds, and sometimes local cattle.

"As long as we do not disturb them, they will not interfere in our lives and will co-exist."

Optical illusions make a little bit more sense when you learn that our eyes have very little to do with what we see.

Rather, it is our brains that play the key role in creating images and trying to protect us from the potential threats around us.

Our brain is constantly trying to make sense of the world at the quickest pace it can despite the world being in 3D and the images on our retinas being in 2D.

Different colors and light and dark can make the same sized objects look different.

They can also make patterned images look like they’re spinning.
