Jamie Oliver launching sightseeing pub in the UK next year – here’s where you can find it
CELEBRITY chef Jamie Oliver is set to open a mobile pub in London next year.
Over one decade ago, Jamie Oliver toured the UK in a converted army truck to film a TV show for Channel 4.
In 2011, for Jamie's Great Britain, the chef travelled up and down the country to find out exactly what made British food great.
While the army truck may just sound like a mode of transportation, it was actually a kitchen on wheels called the Cock in Cider.
According to the British Street Food website, the Cock in Cider is an ex-military Land Rover, complete with a machine gun emplacement.
In an interview with British Street Food, Jamie said: "It’s got servos on it now. I don’t know how the original boys did it — you would have had to be built like a brick s*** house to handle it.

"It’s also got a wood-fired oven, and a barbecue that pulls out of the side. I had it for Feastival, and I was cooking pizzas in it for the Charlatans. It’s a beautiful thing."
In the same interview, the celebrity chef and food educator explained how he enjoyed cooking in other people's homes.
It's been 13 years since the Cock in Cider first graced television screens in the UK, and it looks like the truck may be set to return.
According to ES Magazine, the converted army truck could be taking to the streets of London for another adventure.
But instead of being a kitchen for the chef, the Cock in Cider is set to be a mobile pub.
While very few details have been released about the mobile pub, in an interview with ES Mag Jamie Oliver revealed that the vehicle will soon be making its way around London.
He said: "A mobile pub called the Cock and Cider is about to set off around London.
"You can get to see all the lovely spots as you travel around having a beer. You can jump on and off along the route and it's just brilliant."
Details like where the pub can be found, and what drinks are likely to be served have yet to be released.
Jamie Oliver isn't the only celebrity to own a pub in the English capital.
Actors Sir Ian McKellen and Sean Mathias co-own The Grapes - a small pub in Limehouse in London.
In its 500-year history, there have been several other famous patrons including Charles Dickens who is said to have danced on tables.
But in recent years, other famous faces have walked through its doors including Patrick Stewart, Rupert Evertt and Boris Johnson.
Head to The Grapes on a Monday night to take part in its weekly quiz, which Ian McKellen has been known to host on occasion.
Sun Online Travel have visited other pubs across the country too, including world’s biggest Wetherspoons in Ramsgate.
