Countryfile’s Adam Henson flooded with support as he announces emotional new project
COUNTRYFILE star Adam Henson has shared agriculture fans can apply to a new bursary that was created in memory of his late father.
The English farmer is keen to give others a leg up in his industry the way his dad did for him.
Adam was raised in the Cotswold Hills by Joe Henson.
His dad was the proud owner of Cotswold Farm Park and a founding member of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
Sadly, the lifelong champion of farming lost his battle with cancer in 2015.
Adam is now carrying on his dad's legacy through a bursary available to agriculture students in three English counties.

He told his followers: "I’m pleased to announce that applications for the Three Counties Agricultural Society Bursary in Memory of Joe Henson MBE are now open.
"The bursary supports those within the three counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire venturing into further education in agriculture or related subjects.
"It supports up to three years of study, with up to £1,000 per annum provided each year."
Fans of the Countryfile star flocked to the comments to let him know how proud his dad would be.
One person wrote: "Wonderful legacy for your Dad Adam."
Another gushed: "What a wonderful Bursary Ad! Your Father's legacy lives on. He was very proud of you!"
Adam currently lives on the 1,600-acre Bemborough Farm with his wife Charlie and their two children Alfie and Ella.
He took over the running of the farm from his dad Joe in 1998, working hard to grow crops such as wheat, spring barley and oilseed rape, alongside managing its commercial ewes.
The BBC presenter also runs the Cotswolds Farm Park, a popular visitor attraction offering glamping, lamb feeding, and animal rides, which was founded by Joe in 1971.
