I did my first ever Asda online shop and was disgusted by the black sludge covered in bugs that actually turned up

A WOMAN has been left disgusted after receiving more than she bargained for in an Asda home delivery.

"Shock horror, so disappointed with Asda," she wrote.

Jacqueline explained it was the first time she had received a food delivery from Asda, and most likely her last.

She added that she only did a small shop of about £40 worth of food of things she can rarely find when visiting the store.

"I bought some Asda tomato and garlic pasta sauce," she explained.

"Well, shocked is an understatement.

"Let me show you."

"Did they retrieve these from the bin?"

Putting the glass jars by the window to get as much lighting as possible, she help up the first sauce jar.

She continued: "The shock and horror is real."

The bottom of the jar was covered in what looked like stuck on cardboard that had turned into black sludge from whatever box they came in.

Already unhappy with the state of the product she was even more grossed out to see tiny bugs all over the glass and near the seal of the jar.

And it was the same for the second jar as well.

Even the labels on the jars were filthy and had rips all over.

"How can they give these to people, who is picking this stuff?" Jacqueline added.

"Did they retrieve these from the bin?" she asked.

Fuming she went to Asda for a refund and claimed she was sent just 45p as well as a £5 shopping voucher.

She claimed she contacted customer service who asked her for evidence who then dealt with the matter over the phone.

After being unhappy with the compensation, she contacted Environmental Health to investigate further.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @jakki2831 has since gone viral with over 600k views and 12k likes.

People were quick to take to the comments to share their experiences.

One person wrote: "I'd it once and NEVER again, loads missing and wrong stuff put in."

Another commented: "I don’t know what that are but I know that them 2 jars wouldn’t be in my house."

"That's why I don't shop there," penned a third.

However, many claimed to never have a problem with Asda and said it was their go-to supermarket.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "That’s such a shame!! I usually have a good experience with Asda online shops but occasionally there’s something weird/dodgy."

"Get my Asda delivery every week never had a problem,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "They're normally very good."
