Dancing on Ice 2025 final LIVE: Contestants Michaela Strachan, Sam Aston & Anton Ferdinand skate for last time tonight

  • Who is finalist Michaela Strachan?

Wildlife expert Michaela has been a fan favourite ever since she burst onto our screens in the 80s.

Up until 2009, Michaela was a regular reporter for BBC One show, Countryfile.

These days Michaela is best known for being one of the hosts of BBC shows Springwatch.

In October 2024, it was announced that Michaela would be taking part in Dancing On Ice 2025.

She said: “I was considered for the show 14 years ago - I’ve been considered for it twice - but this year they’ve asked me to do it, and I said yes.”

  • Former champ rubbishes sexism claims

Dancing On Ice champ Alex Murphy has waded into the ongoing sexism row and revealed why the majority of winners are men.

Alex exclusively told us: "Oh, I don't think it's sexist. If I'm honest, I think it's just so simple.

"I think the audience is smart, and the audience knows that it is extremely hard for a man to lift a professional ice skater and learn how to skate.

"So I think that they give them more votes and they feel more, maybe not respect towards them, but they feel like, ‘Wow! They've got it harder. They drew the short stick'. Almost.

"I think that's why it carries over, even though the women are fantastic every year."

  • What time is the Dancing on Ice 2025 final?

ITV has confirmed that the final will kick off at 6.30pm tonight.

It is due to finish at around 8pm, with the winner being announced during the programme.
