Oscars 2024 LIVE – Emma Stone called out for ‘side eye’ at Jimmy Kimmel as Billie Eilish could make history

    ROBERT DOWNEY JR has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Oppenheimer.

    He beat out Sterling K. Brown, Robert De Niro, Ryan Gosling, and Mark Ruffalo for the award.

    "I'd like to thank my terrible childhood and the Academy, in that order," the actor joked.

    He went on to thank his wife for "bringing him back to life."

    After Poor Things was highlighted, host Jimmy Kimmel joked that the clips were all that they could show of the movie because it's so graphic.

    The camera flashed to Emma Stone in the audience - who seemed unimpressed with the joke and appeared to roll her eyes.

    The Boy and the Heron won Best Animated Feature Film.

    Hayao Miyazaki isn't at the ceremony, so the award was accepted on his behalf.

    Oscars viewers aren't impressed with Jimmy Kimmel's opening monologue - and some are even comparing him to Jo Koy, who "bombed" as the Golden Globes host.
