I bought a £5 bag of random jewellery from the charity shop – I knew I’d hit the jackpot when I spotted a hidden symbol
SHE spotted a bangle that she liked the look of, so decided to take a gamble on a £5 bag of random jewellery in the charity shop.
But when Millie got home, she was disappointed to find that the bracelet she had been hoping was a hidden gem was all chipped.
However, as she dug through the bag, she spotted a symbol that looked familiar - the Tiffany & Co. marking.
"It's got a 925 stamp but is this real?" Millie said in a video on her TikTok page.
" Let me go talk to my mother quickly.
"We're pretty sure this is fake because it just doesn't really seem real but that was still a fun find."

She then went to clean the tarnished bangle, and returned saying: "We're like 99% sure this is actually real Tiffany & Co. sterling silver, it has polished up really nicely - it was so, so dirty."
She looked on eBay and found the same bangle listed for £392, as she exclaimed: "What?!"
Millie also conducted the 'ice test' to check if the silver was real - if an ice cube placed on a piece of silver melts quickly, it means the piece is genuine.
That's because silver has high heat conductivity - so an ice cube will melt faster if it's in contact with silver.
"And we did an ice test to see if it was like sterling silver and the ice melted super fast," Millie continued.
"I think I found Tiffany & Co. sterling silver bangle in a jewellery mystery bag!"
She went on to go through the rest of the jewellery bag, but nothing topped the Tiffany find.
In fact, the majority of bits in the bag were either broken or had bits missing.
"Unfortunately, there were no pairs to any of the earrings I found," she said.
"So that's a bit annoying."
The comments section was quickly full of people weighing in on Millie's find, as one wrote: "I always thought those bags were purposely predominantly broken pieces for use in jewellery making and craft.
"It’s always a lucky dip!"
"Yes I really think it’s luck of the draw!!" Millie replied.
"My other two bags had nothing broken!"

"Wow that's a good find," another added.
"I think that tree charm is from Pandora," a third said, while someone else said that the gold watch looked as though it might have been a Gucci one.
